Culture
In past centuries Bagni di Lucca Terme became an important European cultural centre. Lord Byron and Shelley and his wife mary stayed in Bagni di Lucca. Also Heinrich Heine and Eugenio Montale, the Browining couple and Henry James, Montesque and Puccini stayed here.
Bagni di Lucca's most famous monuments are the Casinò(the first Casinò in Europe), Villa Fiori, Demidoff Hospital, Villa Ada, English church, the public park, Villa Buonvisi, Circolo dei Forestieri, Catene's Bridge.Sechio's Valley is also famous for Devil's Bridge.
